McCall named associate medical director

UTICA – Dr. Marybeth McCall of Utica has joined Excellus BlueCross BlueShield as associate medical director for utilization management.
In her new role, McCall will be responsible for utilization, disease management and health-care quality reviews.
For the past two years, McCall has been chief medical officer for Rome Memorial Hospital. Prior to joining Rome Memorial, McCall served as chief medical officer for Crouse Hospital, senior vice president and medical director for Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare, associate medical director for the Masonic Home and physician for the Offutt Air Force Base, Omaha, Neb.
She also spent several years in private practice specializing in internal medicine.
McCall received her bachelor’s in chemical engineering from Manhattan College.
