James Charles Thomas Shell Oil employee in Malaysia, formerly of Westfield, 49 James Charles Thomas, 49, of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, formerly of Westfield, died suddenly March 14, 2008. There will be a graveside service at Van Liew Cemetery, North Brunswick, on Friday, April 4, 2008, at 11 a.m. A celebration of his life will follow at noon at Sir Johns Restaurant, North Brunswick. James graduated from Westfield High School in 1976. He was a graduate of Bucknell University and received his masters in science from Manhattan College. At the time of his death, he was employed by Shell Oil in Malaysia. James founded the JCT Education Center in Jakarta, Indonesia, for English language study. James was the son of Josephine Thomas and was predeceased by his father, Arthur K. Thomas. He was the brother of Jill McCuan, Arthur Thomas Jr., Jeffrey Thomas and Rosemarie Schwarz. He will also be missed by several nieces and nephews, his brothers-in-law, Patrick McCuan and Michael Schwarz and his sister-in-law, Judith Thomas. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the James Charles Thomas Education Center, c/o Mrs. A.K. Thomas, 2321 Coral Leaf Rd., Toms River, N.J. 08755. DEATH NOTICES
