Sister Mary Camillus Brady

Sr. Mary Camillus Brady, of the Sisters of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, New Windsor, entered into rest on Wednesday, June 11, 2008. She was 100.
Daughter of the late Hugh and Julia Brady, she was born July 18, 1907 in the Bronx, NY.
Sister entered religious life on February 2, 1927 at Mount St. Joseph, New Windsor. She made first vows on August 15, 1929 and final vows on August 15, 1932. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Manhattan College in 1944 and Master’s from Fordham University in 1948. During her ministry as a teacher, she taught at several schools, including, St. Frances of Rome, in the Bronx; St. Teresa’s, Manhattan; St. John’s, Goshen; Holy Rosary, in the Bronx; St. Lucy’s, in Houma, LA; St. Paul’s, Yonkers; Presentation Junior College, New Windsor, NY; St. Jude, Manhattan; St. Paul’s, Yonkers; Mount St. Joseph Academy, New Windsor, and St. Joseph’s, New Windsor, NY.
She is survived by her niece, Julia Dye of Park Ridge, IL; grand-nephew, Donald R. Dye of New York City; and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
A wake will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Monday, June 16, at Mount St. Joseph, New Windsor. A prayer service will take place at 7 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 17, at Mount St. Joseph Chapel. Burial will follow in Mount St. Joseph Cemetery.
