Michael J. Scerra, lifelong resident

DUNELLEN — Michael J. Scerra, 22, passed away Saturday (June 28, 2008) at his home. He was born in Somerville and had been a lifelong resident of Dunellen.

Michael was a 2008 graduate of Manhattan College, majoring in business. He was a communicant of St. John’s Church in Dunellen.

Surviving is his parents Thomas and Mary of Dunellen; two sisters, Catherine and Christine; a brother, Dan all of Dunellen. His maternal grandparents Ed and Jane Black of Monroe; his paternal grandmother Fran Scerra of Hackensack and several aunts and uncles.

There will be a 9 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at St. John’s Church. Interment Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway. Visiting will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave., Dunellen.

I learned that Mike has had Cancer for sometime but worked hard to get his Degree before he died.

May He rest In Peace.

Maybe too much Jasper news isn't a good thing in this case? I have a list of politicians, I'd have gladly substituted. But that's above my pay grade. Make one reflect on the road ahead.]
