Tom Heffernan was Class of 1968. He was a great guy back then and I can report after my phone call to congratulate him on his honorary doctorate, he is still the same great guy today.

[JR: Well, Dick and Mike reported that Class Year also. Which I appreciate. When someone has a minute, it would be nice to have the text of his remarks that were so inspiring. Too bad it wasn't video taped. Or at least audio recorded. With YouTube being viral amoung the youth, we are missing at lest one way to reach out to help MC recruit. Besides, old alums need inspiration too. Especially in the "interesting times" we are living in. Isn't that the old Chinese curse? Thanks for the report. fjohn68]
