The Adult School of the Chathams, Madison and Florham Park is partnering with the College of St. Elizabeth to offer a three-part series, “The Gospel of Mark: A Three-Step Approach,” beginning from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, at the college at 2 Convent Road in the Convent Station section of Morris Township. A three-step approach will probe Holy Week readings in the Gospel of Mark:
• “Look behind,” consider the times;
• “Look in,” consider the language of the text;
• “Look in front,” consider the message.
The goals of the class are scholarship and inspiration.
David Galusha, an adjunct professor of theology at the college, will teach the class. His research and academic interests include anthropology and religion, religious education, and contemporary ethical issues. Galusha holds bachelor of art degrees from Maryknoll College, the Philippines, and Manhattan College, New York City.
The cost for the series is $75 plus a $10 registration fee. To register, visit www.theadultschool.org, or call (973) 443-9222.
