PATRICK J. BURKE
AGE: 86 FORMERLY OF BAYVILLE
Patrick J. Burke, 86, of Buford, Ga., passed away Sunday, Feb. 22, 2009. Mr. Burke was born April 10, 1922 in New York City. He was a graduate from Manhattan College in Bronx, NY. He was a veteran of the U. S. Armed Forces. He was a retired postal clerk at the Munsey Mail Processing Facility in Munsey, NY after 25 years of service and he also was a retired policeman after 20 years of service. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Police Benevolence Association.
He is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Tom and Linda Burke of Buford, Ga., Michael Burke of Del Ray Beach, Fla., Patrick and Karla Burke of Wilmington, N.C., and James Burke of Marietta, Ga.; a daughter, Margaret Gannon of Mount Kisco, N.Y.; 16 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service is planned for a later date. Interment will be in Gates of Heaven Cemetery, West Chester, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Memphis, TN or to Compassionate Hospice in memory of Patrick J. Burke. Arrangements are by Junior E.
