Dear John,
Today’s NY Daily News (3/26/09), at page 65, has a piece by Mighty Quinn, reporting that, among others, Tom Downes is being inducted into the Hudson County Hall of Fame tonight.
The piece reads:
“Tom Downes; Class of ’78 at Hoboken Catholic. Manhattan College broke 30K national record (1:35:56); Finished 22nd in NYC Marathon; New Jersey Golden Gloves Champion.”
I believe that Tom is a member of the Class of 1986 at Manhattan.
