(01-13) 20:49 PST — San Francisco will try to collect up to $15 million in taxes from the Archdiocese of San Francisco, which is refusing to pay certain taxes on properties the church is transferring from one Catholic nonprofit organization to another.

*** and ***

The archdiocese is not being taxed to make up for a budget deficit, Ting said. But he noted that since he took office three years ago, he has made a concerted effort to collect all applicable transfer taxes, especially those owed by corporations.

Ahh, yes, secular progressives attack Holy Mother on Yet Another Front. FMPOV, it was allowing them to ge tin the “game” in the first place. IMHO the proper response is to attack every level of Gooferment with its own First Amendment. I’d use the Amish as the model. Make the Gooferment fight for every inch.

How else does Holy Mother Church retain her position to succor the People from the Tyrannical King?

Oh, this is “different”, it’s just about “paying one’s fair share”; right! Oh, you don’t think that’s its role? Or you don’t think we have “kings” here in the People’s Democratic Republic of the USA? Or, we don’t need any “succor”?

Sigh. Sheeple.

SOAP Notes
By Gina Bortolussi

*** begin quote ***

Perhaps one of the most important jobs for a Chiropractor is not to adjust a sore back, but to make sure that they record the most in depth SOAP notes as possible; SOAP being an acronym for Subjective, Objective, Assessment, and Plan. Proper SOAP notes should contain a narrative that describes the patient, any findings from tests or examinations of the patient, a diagnosis of the patient and finally, a plan for treating the patient. Doctors are under an immense amount of pressure to make proper documentation, because if they don’t, insurance companies can investigate. However, there are billing services that can lessen that pressure.

EDENTON — The principal at John A. Holmes High School will be leaving at the end of June.

William “Bill” Moore, Holmes principal the past four years, tendered his letter of resignation on March 23. His last day of work for the Edenton-Chowan Schools will be Tuesday, June 30.

In the letter, Moore didn’t give any reason for his resignation.

He said he was “proud of the accomplishments of my team during the last four years.”

“I remain committed to always providing the best education for high school students so that they are successful in the work force and/or higher education programs,” he added.

In an e-mail to The Chowan Herald, Edenton-Chowan Schools Superintendent Allan Smith said Moore “has been an asset to the Edenton-Chowan Schools and has accomplished a great deal in his four years with us. We wish him all the best in the future.”

Moore outlined some of those accomplishments in a farewell letter to Holmes staff.

He said he was proud of the expansion of the advanced placement courses program that currently offers eight classes. Three others — AP Spanish, AP Music Theory and AP World History — are scheduled to begin in the fall.

He also praised Holmes staff for their efforts to increase community involvement in the school system, and for their dedication to their profession.

“Our staff has become recognized for the quality of education we offer daily,” Moore wrote. “We have had staff recognized as Chowan County Teachers of the Year for the past two years.”

One of those teachers went on to be honored as Regional Teacher of the Year, making it to the final nine teachers considered for N.C. Teacher of the Year. The other teacher was named N.C. JROTC Instructor of the Year and will compete for the national title this year.

According to Kerri Albertson, school/community relations director for the Edenton-Chowan Schools, Moore retired from the U.S. Army, where his highest rank was lieutenant colonel in the Army Reserve.

An educator since 1986, Moore worked as a teacher, assistant principal and principal before coming to Holmes. He holds a bachelor’s degree in social studies from Fordham University and two masters’ degrees — a master of science in social studies from Iona College and a master of science in school administration from Manhattan College.
