Kenneth R. “Ken” Smith
Kenneth R. “Ken” Smith, 70, died May 4, 2009, at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach. He was born in New York City and lived in Sebastian for 13 years, coming from Yonkers, N.Y. Before retirement, he was a special agent with the FBI for 32 years. He was a graduate of Fordham Preparatory School in Bronx, N.Y., and Manhattan College in New York City. He was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Sebastian and a member of the Retired FBI Special Agents Association. Survivors include his wife of four years, Kathryn Smith of Sebastian; and daughters, Barbara E. Smith of Ossining, N.Y., and Elizabeth M. Smith of Irvington, N.Y. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bernadette Smith; and his brother, James Smith. Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960. SERVICES: Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. May 8 at the Strunk Funeral Home in Sebastian. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. May 9 at St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Sebastian.
