    Like me, he was the class of 1964. I knew him. I saw him win the 1964 IC4A indoor hurdles championship in MSG. Years ago, I saw a kid wearing a “Tyrone Pannell Track Club” jacket in the IGA parking lot in Montauk. The kid was awestruck when I told him I knew Tyrone. It was a sad day when I learned he was blown up by a land mine in Viet Nam.
