In late July, Colliers Turley Martin Tucker Co. picked a former Nationwide Financial Services Inc. executive to manage the commercial real estate brokerage’s Columbus office. Mark Phelan, 54, took over the managing principal’s job from Stephen Falor on Aug. 3. He oversees the region’s third-largest commercial real estate brokerage. Phelan retired from Nationwide in 2007 after heading the annuities business. He previously held executive positions in sales and marketing for Checkfree Corp., AT&T Inc. and IBM Corp. The native of Rockville Center, N.Y., has a bachelor’s degree in English literature from Manhattan College and an MBA in marketing from Fordham University.
