Dr. Anirban De, associate professor of civil and environmental engineering, is currently a visiting faculty scholar in the school of civil engineering at the University of Sydney

Dr. Adam Koehler, assistant professor of English, is the co-editor of Avery, a journal of fiction, which will be presented at the Brooklyn Book Festival on Sunday, Sept. 13.

Basketball Season Preview The alumni relations office invites on Thursday, Oct. 8 at 6:30 p.m. in the Alumni Room of O’Malley Library.

The St. Thomas More Law Society will be holding a reception for alumni to interact with students interested in pursuing a career in law on Monday, October 19, 7:00-8:30 p.m.

In anticipation of the Oct. 21 career fair in Draddy Gymnasium from 12:00-5:00 p.m., we ask that all alumni in a position to represent their company contact the alumni relations office at alumni@manhattan.edu or (718) 862-7431. The career fair serves not only as a chance to meet with potential employers but also as a terrific networking opportunity to reconnect with other Manhattan College alumni. Open House Brunch for Prospective Students

Manhattan College’s 2009 open house is one of many events celebrating the inauguration of Brennan O’Donnell, Ph.D. Alumni are welcome to bring college-bound high school and transfer students to a complimentary brunch hosted by our alumni society on Sunday, Oct. 25. Mass will precede the event at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of De La Salle and His Brothers and brunch will be in Dante’s Den (Thomas Hall) at 11:00 a.m. Advance reservations are appreciated.. Please e-mail alumni@manhattan.edu or call (718) 862-7431 to reserve your space (please include names of all guests attending). The open house is an opportunity for prospective students to visit campus and meet representatives from all areas of the College. We look forward to seeing you.

Hold the Date! New York City Club Reception

Brennan O’Donnell, Ph.D., president of Manhattan College, will join alumni at the fall networking reception of the New York City Club on Thursday, Nov. 19 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Hosted by New York Life, the event is $50 per person and includes cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. Registration is required by Wednesday, Nov. 11 (security mandates that all guests be preregistered). More information about this event is available Here.
