Emond joins Metro Credit Union
Metro Credit Union announced the appointment of Douglas Emond as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Emond will report to Robert M. Cashman, President and Chief Executive Officer, and will oversee accounting, finance, operations and technology for the organization.
Prior to joining Metro, Emond was Chief Financial Officer of Windham Professionals. Previously, Emond was Vice President, Corporate Finance at Fidelity Investments, responsible for profitability measurement. Prior to Fidelity, Emond was Chief Technology Officer at Eastern Bank where he spent five years managing the expansion and improvement of technology.
Emond also spent 10 years with FleetBoston Financial and BankBoston, serving as senior director of Internet Banking and Chief Operating Officer for the Wholesale Bank, managing operations, strategic planning, and key business initiatives.
Emond’s community involvement has included his role as a member of the Board of Directors of HAWC in Salem, Massachusetts, Vice Chairman of the Finance Committee for the town of Marblehead, Massachusetts, management advisor to www.philantropist.org and numerous volunteer activities in Marblehead, Massachusetts and New Jersey.
Emond earned his MBA and Bachelor’s degree at Manhattan College and lives in Marblehead with his wife and their two children.
