Mr. Farrell directs Tishman Speyer’s design and construction activities worldwide. Since joining Tishman Speyer in 1995 he has had a leadership role in high-rise projects such as the North Tower in Sao Paolo, the Hearst Tower in New York, and also other major New York Projects including the re-development of the retail areas and public spaces of Rockefeller Center and also a headquarters project for a global investment bank in downtown Manhattan. Prior to joining Tishman Speyer in 1995, Mr. Farrell spent over nine years managing the design and construction of major projects with Olympia & York (O&Y). During his tenure with O&Y Mr. Farrell served as Project Director for Phase 2 of the Canary Wharf project in London and also the Santa Fe Project in Mexico City. He also sits on the boards of the New York Building Congress and the ACE Mentor Program of Greater New York. Mr. Farrell holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Manhattan College and is a Licensed Professional Engineer.

Gregg Moshensky joined Iris Wireless after 16 years experience at Ericsson, where he held numerous high-level sales and marketing positions. Most recently he was Director of Sales for Ericsson’s Multimedia Messaging (MMS) Product Unit where he attained accounts with Fortune 50 customers such as AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile. Prior to that, Gregg held the position of Director of Major and Global Accounts where he worked with major network operators such as Vodafone-Global, China Mobile and NTT DoCoMo. Before that, Gregg was Ericsson Messaging’s Business Director for Asia/Pacific Rim where he established, staffed, organized and managed Ericsson’s regional Sales and Services Office for Messaging Products. Before joining Ericsson, Gregg was Director of International Sales for Spectrum Communications where he won the ”New York State Governor’s Award for Achievement in Export”. Gregg also held several engineering positions for Unisys Corporation. Gregg received his MBA from Iona College, his MS in Electrical Engineering from Manhattan College, and his BS in Computer Technology from New York Institute of Technology.

Ralph Vanacore currently serves as Vice President of NYC Operations and Corporate Engineering and has worked at Astoria Generating since July 2006. Prior to joining Astoria Mr. Vanacore worked for General Electric from 1990 to 2006 where he worked as the Manager of Engineering Services for the NY/NJ metro area and most recently was the Facility Manager for a combined cycle plant. Mr. Vanacore began his career in 1981 and held various positions in the power industry while working for Con Edison and LILCO. Mr. Vanacore has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Manhattan College.

MALACHY MAHON MALACHY Mahon is the founding dean and Siggi B. Wilzig professor of banking and law at the Hofstra University School of Law on Long Island. Mahon teaches anti-trust, banking, commercial law, contracts and remedies. Mahon received a BA from Manhattan College, and a JD from Fordham. At age 34, Mahon became the youngest law school dean in the country when Hofstra’s School of Law opened in 1970. Mahon, a former law clerk to Justice Tom C. Clark of the U.S. Supreme Court, began recruiting students and faculty for a new law school at Hofstra in 1968. “We were shooting for a gem of a law school,” says Mahon. “Now it’s quite a bit larger operation.”

Biography

Professor Mahon is a former law clerk to Justice Tom C. Clark, Supreme Court of the United States. After practicing law in New York City, he taught at Fordham Law School, served as chief counsel to the New York State Governor’s Special Committee on Criminal Offenders, and then as the founding Dean of the Hofstra School of Law from 1968 to 1973. He taught at the University of Texas Law School as the Wright C. Morrow Visiting Professor, and was executive director and special assistant attorney general for the 1975 Meyer Investigation of the Attica Prosecutor’s Office. From 1983 to 1996, he served as member or chairman of the Nassau County Board of Ethics. Written for a special committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, his book Mental Illness, Due Process and the Criminal Defendant has been widely cited and quoted by federal and state courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court. In addition, he has written a monthly column on developments in commercial law for the New York Law Journal, and is a member of the American Law Institute. He is a member of the Uniform Commercial Code Committee of the American Bar Association’s Section of Banking, Business and Corporation Law.

John H. Banks is vice president of government relations for Con Edison, where he is responsible for the management of the company’s government affairs activities as they relate to policies proposed or enacted by the city, state, or federal governments.

In 1986 he was an investigator in the New York City Mayor’s Office of Operations, focusing on the Parking Violations Bureau (PVB) scandal. He was later promoted to operations analyst and was assigned to monitor and review the operations of the city’s administrative tribunal agencies—PVB, Transit Authority Adjudication Bureau, and Environmental Control Board.

Mr. Banks became unit coordinator of the Infrastructure and Economic Development Unit of the City Council’s Finance Division in 1990 and deputy director of the division in 1993. As deputy director his responsibilities included negotiating the city’s budget on behalf of the City Council, briefing and testifying before the council on fiscal policy matters, and managing a staff of 40 financial analysts.

He was named director of Government Relations at Con Edison in 1999, returned to the City Council as its chief of staff in 2000, and moved to his current position in 2002.

A 1985 graduate of Manhattan College, Mr. Banks received a Master of Public Administration degree from Baruch College in 1992
