1915 Edison Manufacturing Co. The Claremont Theatre 3320-3338 Broadway (aka 536-540 West 135th Street) in Manhattanville. The village of Manhattnville was established in 1806 in a valley at the crossroads of Bloomingdale Road and Manhattan Street (Broadway and 125th Street). The community was the site of churches, a grade school, and Manhattan College (1853). A ferry terminus on the Hudson River, a mill, and a brewery contributed to a thriving enclave that had about five hundred residents at mid century. – (excerpt) Karen E. JEMAIL: Kelly, Jack (MC1968) connecting former members of the ROTC

John,

Thanks so much for continuing to prepare and distribute JasperJottings. It’s a great way to keep up and stay connected. In that same vein, I’d like your readers to note that the alumni and former members of the ROTC’s Maj Wm V Holohan Squadron of the Arnold Air Society now have other oppurtunities to stay connected. The Squadron’s alumni now have a presence on Twitter, @aasalumni http://twitter.com/aasalumni, and on Facebook, Aas Alumni-Holohan http://www.connect.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001675443791. We like to get as much participation as possible. Even the old farts are (’68 that’s like you, John) connecting up via Facebook.

So if you’re reading this and you were ever a member of the Squadron please sign on and tune in (as they kinda use to say in the ’60s). Don’t forget about our web site, www.aasalumni.org, either.

Cheers….

[JR: Appreciate the thanks, Jack. Looking for a successor. I can't do this forever. I took the liberty of adding the links for the presences you mentioned. Can't expect old alums to know what to do. The Biz types can't "do" the tech of cut 'n' paste, and the Ingineers can't read to know what to "do"? Point and click. Then, no excuse. ROFL!]
