Reception planned for BOCES chief

JOHNSTOWN – HFM BOCES will host a welcoming reception for new District Superintendent Dr. Patrick Michel from 3 to 5 p.m. Feb. 7 in the HFM BOCES campus cafeteria.
The Hamilton-Fulton-Montgomery Board of Cooperative Educational Services invites members of the community and component school districts to participate in welcoming Michel as he assumes the superintendent role.
A brief program of remarks by school and community leaders is scheduled to begin at 3:45 p.m.
Before his appointment, Michel served as superintendent of Monticello Central School District. He has a bachelor of arts degree from Manhattan College, master’s degrees from Brooklyn College and Columbia University, and a doctor of education degree from Columbia.
