JEMAIL: Antenucci, John (MC1959) is reminded of the Litany of Humility

John,

I was attracted to the first item regarding Humility. It brought to mind the Litany of Humility. I received a copy of that particular prayer from my Spiritual Director while serving as a Deacon in the Diocese of Rochester, NY. It was good to see the Litany of Humility referenced by Susan connected with # 8. This prayer has proven to be a good ground for me when the inclination is to grab some glory.

[JR: I'm always please when someone finds something useful in Jottings. Never got "humility". Never got a lot of the virtues. Well, maybe "honesty", but I have to try real hard.]

    Hello John,

I get humility, because everytime I think I can do something easily because I know what I am doing, I usually end up with a mess. When I go at a project with the idea that this may work and if not, then I ‘ll try something else – I do better.

I was so sorry to receive your note that Evlynn had finished her long struggle with her medical problems and has gone to be with her parents and brother in the arms of God. I know that she made a difference to a large group of people who became family by extension and I am sure that you will be at the center of their thoughts and prayers as you are in mine.
    Carolyn
