******my first live performance will be at a charity event for the Ronald McDonald House on June 5th at the Harley Davidson Dealer in New Rochelle, NY which holds the annual charity event called “Hogs for Hope”, a few bands will be playing that day, i will probably be one of the opening acts and play a 30-45 minute set from what i’m told.
****** just on a side note, i have at least another 12 songs pretty much finished so my second cd will be coming sometime in the spring of 2012, i will be playing some of these songs live this year and may release them as singles after the summer or during the fall ;-) we are here to stay and play my friends ;-)))))) and on another side note, my first music video will be comin in 3-4 weeks, hopefully sooner but its all new ground for me so i think 3 weeks or so will be more than enough time, my first video will be for the song “Gone But Not Forgotten” i’m thinking but that could change, but a real video is coming to youtube veddy soon ;-)

Florida: controversy over Mass intention for repose of bin Laden’s soul
May 18, 2011
*** begin quote ***
A Florida parish priest has decided to accept a Mass intention for repose of Osama bin Laden’s soul, provoking controversy in his parish.
*** and ***
“Their hearts are troubled because they’re thinking emotionally about what he has done, and he has done a lot of evil,” said Father Gavin Badway, pastor of Holy Name of Jesus Church in West Palm Beach. “Nevertheless, Jesus tells us, love and forgive.”
*** end quote ***
I’m reminded of a great movie. A movie with which I disagreed with just about every liberal political point it made. But, a movie that made a great classical liberal point.
“America isn’t easy. America is advanced citizenship. You gotta want it bad, ’cause it’s gonna put up a fight. It’s gonna say “You want free speech? Let’s see you acknowledge a man whose words make your blood boil, who’s standing center stage and advocating at the top of his lungs that which you would spend a lifetime opposing at the top of yours. You want to claim this land as the land of the free? Then the symbol of your country can’t just be a flag; the symbol also has to be one of its citizens exercising his right to burn that flag in protest. Show me that, defend that, celebrate that in your classrooms. Then, you can stand up and sing about the “land of the free”.” — President Andrew Shepherd played by Michael Douglas in “The American President” (1995)
So too. If you’re a “catholic”, whatever that is, and I am the last person judging anyone’s status, it would seem that WE have to pray for our enemies. And, in each of them, we should see either the Creator or a reflection of our common humanity. It would seem that, if you believe the Gospels, Jesus forgave those who killed him. Yet, we can not forgive old OBL by saying a Mass for the repose of his soul?
Celebrate that. Then you can stand up and sing: “I’m a Catholic”.
The older I get and the more of the vicissitudes of life that I experience, the more sure I am that I’m a long way from perfect.
Like the pro-life issue, I fail to understand how someone can be anti-abortion but for the death penalty. Be pro-life but anti-gay adoption. (Do the children not DESERVE a loving family once they are no longer cute babies?) Somehow folks are pro-life, but allow the drones to inflict “collateral damage”.
One thing that I learned in ingineering skrule, principles don’t change. Gravity still brings a rocket back to earth. Bridges with the wrong sign WILL fall down. And, like electricity, stuff you can’t see will kill you.
“Forgive your enemies” seems like a good principle. Otherwise, you give them tremendous control over your life. Note: it’s “forgive”; not “forget”. And, “blessed are the peacemakers …”
We’ve made a LOT of mistakes. Arguing about praying for the dead seems stupid to me. And, even more, if you’re a CINO politician or a “confused catholic”, then you’re going to have a lot of explaining to do.
I’m working on my excuses already. I’m sure my fellow alums won’t need any.
Donna Nobis Pacem.

Can Catholic schools be saved?
ANDY SMARICK
*** begin quote ***
Implementing such a policy will not be without its political and legal challenges, of course. But far less appealing is the alternative: an acceleration of the tragic decline of urban Catholic schools, and the eventual regret that we did nothing over half a century while one of the nation’s greatest educational treasures disappeared.

[JR: No, they can't be. And, Catholicism and then Catholics won't be far behind. The "Secular Progressives" aka Marxist Communists have taken over the Gooferment and are using it to suppress all "religions". Only the "worship" of the State, from whom all blessings flow, will be permitted. The politicians and bureaucrats are the new "priesthood". And, we being slowly eaten by this "boa constrictor". Gooferment Skrules are the unconstitutional way they are propagandizing the youth. There's no hope but to secede. And try again. The Dead Old White Guys knew the enemy, but couldn't imagine how their "experiment" could be perverted.]
