Female Athlete of Week: Kylla ChampagneMonday, December 26, 2011
BY MIRA WASSEF STAFF WRITER The Record

*** begin quote ***

Kylla Champagne had things figured out pretty early on. In sixth grade she knew to drop track and pick up a basketball. And by the time she was an eighth-grader, she knew she wanted to be a doctor.

In basketball terms, Champagne is 2-for-2.

Now a senior at Kennedy, Champagne will be playing Division I ball at Manhattan College next year and majoring in pre-med.

Just like she planned.
