Dear John,
I believe that there is a typo in the second paragraph of this piece on Lisa. She works for “District Council 37″ not “District County 37″.
Best,
Mike

[JR: Thanks, Mike. Much appreciated. But, now you're proofing the MC stuff. ROFL! You think that MC could make a mistake? Where ever she's working, it's pretty impressive. I'll refrain from commenting about lawyers. But I must admit track star and "ambulance chasing" did come to mind. Sorry, couldn't help it. Just slipped out. On a technical note, you'll observe that the new MC webpage doesn't invite feedback or corrections. Like those emails, that companies send out. "This message is from an unmonitored email account. Any replies are discarded. We don't care what you have to say back to us." As far as mistakes go, I make a lot. But I welcome correction. And, there is no truth to the rumor that deliberately insert them to generate message traffic. ]

*** begin quote ***
At the age of 41, Lisa Daley ’93, a former Jasper track superstar, is still winning big on the track field. This summer, she walked away with four gold medals at the World Masters Athletics Championships, and also set a new American Masters record of 63.9 seconds in the 400-meter hurdles — breaking her existing record of 64.0 seconds.
When Daley, a public interest lawyer for District County 37, New York City’s largest public employee union, is not in court or the office, she travels to Columbia University’s Baker Field three times a week to train with the Central Park Track Club.
