I went into Seaside Heights and traffic was an orderly mess. Emergency traffic was directed to use the left lane; mundanes had the two right lanes. Mile or two of traffic. Couple hours to get in.
As we got to the choke point, the cop stopped two people in the left lane and tossed then into the regular lane.
Argh!
Those deserved tickets. Disobeying a traffic control device (i.e., the many huge signs saying emergency priority traffic left lane only)!!!
I’d have said: “License, registration, and insurance card. Pull over into the curb.” And after writing them up, I’d have sent them on their way to the back of the line.
How else will people learn to follow simple rules for an orderly society?
