Just got off the phone with Brother Flynn.
(He’s doing as well as can be expected given how ill he is. Obvious that he has trouble catching his breath. But when I expressed concern, he relied: “That’s life.”)
He circumspectly reported that at least two large donations attributed the act to the information in Jasper Jottings. He respected the donors’ wishes for privacy in both name and amount.
(Guess they too have heard that old Irish adage about “good works only count if done in secret”. Funny, I learned that from my maternal English Protestant grandmother who wanted to teach me about my maternal grandfather’s “heathen Irish culture that has a few good points”. ROFL!)
But, he repeated their comments that: “the CIC wonders if anyone reads it but my donation was all due to Jasper Jottings”.
That’s very humbling.
Thanks to the readership, Brother Flynn was blown away by the speed at which his need was answered and surpassed. He’s now polling folks if they want the “overage” back. He told me that most everyone says “put it towards the kids”.
(I guess, if someone stretched to kick in, then it’d be OK to take it back.)
Anyway, thanks to those readers who have the delusion that Jasper Jottings influences them. Maybe informs; influence unlikely. Their just good souls who action good poop.
I’m just shoveling it along. Like the poop-master I am.
Good vibrations this morning. Makes me feel like even reporting obits won’t bring me down.
Forever and always, Go Jaspers.
