Elia M. Ferreri
Elia M. Ferreri, 79, of Spring Lake Heights, died Saturday January 30, 2010 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. Born in New York city, he lived in Wood Ridge, NJ, before moving to Spring Lake Heights 17 years ago.
Mr. Ferreri was a Guidance Counseler for NYC Board of Education for over 30 years before retiring. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and was a member of St. Catharine RC Church in Spring Lake. Elia was an avid Met Fan. He volunteered for Meals on Wheels, loved to travel, golf, trips to Atlantic City & fine restaurants.
Mr. Ferreri was pre-deceased by his first wife Rawnie and is survived by his wife Katherine.
Visitation will be on Tuesday February 2, 2010 from 2 to 6pm at the Neary-Quinn Funeral Home, 39 South Street, Manasquan, NJ. Funeral services will be held Tuesday evening at 6 pm at the funeral home.
