The mechanism has since been established as the first known astronomical calendar, a complex system which can track and predict the cycles of the solar system. How much real dikw (i.e., data, information, knowledge, wisdom) has been lost forever?
And, will in the future there be another “Dark Age”?
I find an interesting corollary in the modern “survivalist” community. They can’t figure out folks in the 1700’s and 1800’s did certain things. If such “modern history” is lost, then what else has been “forgotten”?
I wonder how little we really know and understand even less.
Guess we just have to “rediscover” it the hard way.
Learning form experience is expensive when you keep making the same mistakes.
Sounds like “politics”!
