James William “Jim” Rostar
Mr. James William “Jim” Rostar, 73, died Saturday, October 08, 2016.
A funeral Mass will be held Thursday at 11 AM at St. Peter Catholic Church. Family will receive friends immediately following the Mass.
Mr. Rostar was a native of Yonkers, NY, and had been a resident of Greenville for the past 46 years. He was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Yonkers, NY, and attended Manhattan College. Jim served in the United States Army during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He retired from Burroughs Wellcome and Company as a wage and salary administrator with more than 30 years of service.
Jim was an avid model railroad enthusiast and had a keen interest in military history. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. A loving husband, father and grandfather, he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Mr. Rostar was preceded in death by his parents, William and Antoinette Rostar.
He is survived by his: wife of 51 years, Frances Rostar; sons, James Thomas Rostar and wife, Lynda, of Greenville; and Andrew William Rostar of Thornton, Colorado; and grandchildren, Hannah and Matthew Rostar.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Peter Catholic Church, 2700 E. 4th Street, Greenville, NC 27858.
