Miss Manhattan crown gives Staten Islander another shot at state title
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Less than a week after Rose Bolella was named first runner up in the Miss Staten Island Pageant that unfolded at the College of Staten Island Nov. 6, the blonde-haired beauty went on to nab the title of Miss Manhattan 2017 at the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis High School for International Careers in Times Square on Nov. 12.
The 23-year-old daughter of Gladys and Christopher Bolella of Great Kills, graduated from St. Joseph by the Sea High School, earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology from Manhattan College and a master’s degree in mental health and substance counseling from the New School of Social Research, Manhattan.
She currently holds a position as the Youth Development Counselor at Community Health Action of Staten Island.
