Margaret Cooney and Matthew Sorensen, both of Virginia Beach, Va., are pleased to announce their engagement.

The bride-to-be, daughter of Timothy and Wendy Cooney, of Newton, graduated from Pope John XXIII Regional High School in 2010, and from Manhattan College in 2014. She is a real estate paralegal.

The groom-to-be, son of Kristin and David Sorenson, of Cranston, R.I., graduated from LaSalle Academy in 2010, and from Manhattan Colllege. He is a technical engineer.

The couple has planned a wedding that will take place on Sept. 23, 2017, in Virginia Beach, Va.

             I believe that Margaret is a member of the Class of 2014. (See announcement) I do not have anything in my ‘stuff’ for Matthew, but he MAY be a member of the same Class.
