JOBIT: Neutts, John Gerald ‘Jack’ [MC???? RIP] on 2017-Feb-06

In Memory of

John Gerald Neutts

November 15, 1930 – February 6, 2017

John Gerald (Jack) Neutts died Monday, February 6, 2017, at his home in Fort Myers at the age of 86.
He was born and raised in Carbondale and Scranton, PA, the son of the late Joseph Anthony Neutts and Loretta O’Malley Neutts. Jack graduated from Scranton Central High School and Manhattan College, NY. Upon graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, where he met the love of his life and future wife, Opal Huston. They had been married for 60 years until Opal’s passing in 2013.
Jack had the gift of gab, making him a natural salesman. He started his career selling shoes for Kinney Corporation, eventually becoming the northeastern regional sales manager and moved to New York. From New York he moved to Wisconsin, leaving Kinney and opening a chain of men’s clothing stores. He sold the chain and accepted a position as Executive Vice President with Dean Witter-Morgan Stanley, a stock brokerage in Fort Myers. He retired from that position and he and Opal enjoyed retirement in Fort Myers for over 35 years. Jack was an avid golfer, and enjoyed hitting the greens in his back yard. He checked the stock market on a daily basis, and had breakfast with his friends every morning at the local McDonalds restaurant.
Though the couple was not blessed with children, he is survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph, Donald and Miles.
A wake service will be held at 4:00 PM on Monday, Feb 13th, at Hodges-Kiser Funeral Home, 9231 Cypress Lake Dr., Fort Myers. A funeral mass will be held later at Church of the Resurrection, Fort Myers.

Arrangements under the direction of HODGES-KISER FUNERAL HOME, Fort Myers, FL.
