Well done!!

Dan was quite a guy.  He loved Manhattan College and the Retreat Team.  Like all of us…he was serious  about

our call to bring men on the retreat.  Some years ago he brought a classmate  Mr. Hickey ’53 to the weekend.  Mr. Hickey was ill at the time and Dan went to his house and drove him to the Passionist retreat house.  Mr. Hickey went to the Sacrament of Reconciliation , committed his life to Jesus, he was Anointed, received the Eucharist  and died the following Wednesday.  Mr. Hickey was ready …..he basically stole home!!

Thanks again,

Good Evening All,

From Jasper Jottings, it is with a heavy heart that I share the sad news that Dan Capozzi ’53 BA passed away on April 7, 2017. Dan, a good friend to many of us, a wonderful member of our Manhattan College Reality Retreat Team, a United States Navy Veteran, will be missed by so many. This unassuming, witty and capable man brought a smile to all of us on the Retreat Team and showed us how to deliver our message in Catoons and with total respect for that message. The characters he developed and shared were a tribute to his imagination and always made us smile. A good man, loved by all and someone that I always looked forward to seeing and hearing his thoughts and comments. We pray for the repose of his soul, we pray for his Wife Margaret, their Children, Daniel, Mary, Anne, Suzanne and their Family as they mourn the loss of their loved one. We pray that they find peace in the sure Knowledge that Dan is at peace in God’s Eternal Embrace in the Kingdom of Heaven. The Family have shared the following Obituary which includes visitation and Mass of Christian Burial information, Fishkill, N.Y. Thank you. God Bless.
