Joe Russo is the National Broking Leader for the Willis Towers Watson North American Construction Team. Joe is based in New York City and serves as a senior construction casualty and project insurance resource to the Willis Towers Watson regional retail teams. He focuses on carrier relations, talent development, helping to develop the next generation of construction broking professionals, as well as key areas of Willis Towers Watson’s client deliverables including analytics applications, service and broking strategies.
 
Joe has 25+ years of construction risk experience dealing with issues and coverages related to Workers Compensation, General Liability, Excess Liability, Environmental Liability, Professioanal Liability and Builders Risk. That breadth of scope allows him to take a broader view of risk across all lines of insurance. Joe has been the lead broker on many of the complex construction projects that have redefined the New York landscape and infrastructure in the past 20 years.  In that role, he identifies, recruits and mobilizes key team members to bring the best of Willis Towers Watson to the client. Joe has presented at several industry events including the General Session of the 2011 IRMI Construction Risk Conference.  He was named a Power Broker in 2009. Joe earned a B.S. in management information systems and an M.B.A. in finance from Manhattan College.
