Of all the big shots, the four NCAA Tournament appearances as a college player and coach, Saturday ranked at the top for Donna Seybold.
The former Collingswood High School and Manhattan College star in women’s basketball received a high honor in one of the sports’ meccas.
For her stellar career with the Jaspers, Seybold was enshrined into the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference’s Honor Roll, an induction that gets commemorated at The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts.
“When you’re talking about being inducted into a conference hall of fame and you think about it, there are so many players over the years who have done just as well as I have and sometimes better,” Seybold said. “It’s such an honor.”
Seybold is also a member of Collingswood and Manhattan’s athletic hall of fames. She sits at No. 9 on the Jaspers’ all-time scoring list with 1,217 points.
