Hi John! Happy “Winter’s ‘Roun’ Th’ Corner!”
Ahh wellll… I had a comment on one of the stories in the Quadrangle, but evidently the comment period had closed in the five hours since the previous comment had been published and emailed. ::sigh:: Ever since Trump got elected my timing’s been off (Heh, my nieces are blaming everything from the national debt to the milk going bad in the fridge on Trump so I figured I’d jump on the bandwagon. LOL!)
In any event, I figured I’d at least share it here, re the story at: https://mcquad.org/2017/09/07/mischief-marks-return-to-mc/ about the police having been called to deal with the crowd of students hanging around outside MC’s bars…
Strange. There was never a problem with students hanging around outside the local bars when I was a student at Manhattan in the 1970s although they were usually packed to the walls inside (The Pinewood and Greenleaf at that point in history.)
I wonder what on earth could have possibly changed?

Meanwhile, as I look forward to winter, I’m trying to remember: Just HOW did we ever walk down the steps from Overlook to the Engineering Building the morning after a snowstorm?

[JR: As an injineer, I just never left the building. At least that is what I told everyone. Some would say I never left the bar to go INTO the building.]
