Councilman Denis Troy, Republican candidate (Also on Conservative and Independence lines)

BIO/RESUME

I was born and raised in the Fordham section of the Bronx and have been living in Pearl River for the past 37 years. I have been married for 46 years to Beatrice (Rogers), who I met in St. Nicholas of Tolentine H.S. We Have 4 children- 3 married that live in Orangetown with 7 grandchildren.

My educational background is : Manhattan College (BS in Mathematics), Iona College (MBA in Management Information Systems), Iona College (Post Masters Certificate in Finance) and George Washington University (Masters Certificate in Project Management).

I have been in the Information Technology field for the past 39 years, having retired from IBM and AT&T/ Lucent and presently the Asst Director MIS in Rockland County. Previously I was a High School Math teacher for 9 years. I have represented the people of Orangetown for the past 22 years – the first four as a county legislator and the recent 18 years as a councilman. I have always strived to serve the residents of Orangetown to the best of his abilities in keeping Orangetown the most desirable place to live in Rockland – control taxes, maintain excellent town services and maintain the quality of life that Orangetown residents expect.
