COMMENT: Jablon, Ken (MC1962) questions the use of embryonic stem cells


Regarding “Alzheimer’s maybe treatable?”—this is indeed great news. However, this research could not have been done without human stem cells from embryos which is vehemently opposed by the Catholic Church and many other religiously conservative groups in the US.

[JR: That may or may not be true that embryos were used. Regardless, we have take whatever the result since we couldn’t prevent the predecessor act. Not that I like it, but have to make the best of a bad situation.]
