In today’s print edition of the NY Times there is an obituary for Bill Cannon, a former Heisman Trophy Winner. According to the Obituary Cannon was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame, but before he was inducted, he was arrested and plead guilty to a felony. The board chairman of the Hall, Manhattan College’s Vincent dePaul Draddy,’30, RIP ( Draddy Gym) denied him induction, over ruling his election to it.
An interesting piece of history.
