Frank Daniel Valente
Yonkers – Frank Daniel Valente, age 83, passed after a long illness on Saturday, June 30.
Devoted son of Maria Valente Salvatore, dear brother of Oswald and Antoinette Costantini, and caring uncle to his nieces and nephews, Barbara (Michael) Davis, Jack (Anita), Anthony, Ottorino (Kathy) Costantini, Maria (Stephen Ferrando) Costantini-Ferrando and Jean, along with his children Anthony and Mary Ann.
Frank was a veteran of the Korean War where he served with distinction. Upon his return, he earned a degree from Manhattan College, after which he taught in the NYC Public Schools for many years, working in the South Bronx.
After his retirement he continued his life of service, volunteering at St. Joseph’s Nursing Home and supporting others through his involvement in many Church ministries.
Visitation is Thursday, July 5, from 4-8 PM at Flower Funeral Home, 714 Yonkers Ave. Yonkers NY. The Funeral Mass is Friday July 6, 10am, at St. Mary – Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 23 High Street, Mount Vernon, NY with interment to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
