Good Afternoon All,
Nancy Maksomski ‘ 98 asks for our prayers for two very good Friends.
First for Dr. Arthur O’Leary, a neighbor and very good Friend of Nancy’ s Family. Fellow Jasper Dr. O’Leary was on our prayer list several months ago. He was called home quietly in his sleep on Tuesday, December 4, 2018. Nancy tells us that unfortunately, that his Wife, Catherine, was in Hospital recovering from some stomach problems. We pray for the repose of his soul. We pray for his Wife of 64 years, Catherine and their Family as the Family mourn the loss of their loved one. Nancy further tells us that Dr. O’Leary had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with the Neighborhood Kids. When Nancy left for Manhattan College, he presented her with a stuffed toy RAM and told her to feed it one Jasper a day. He will be missed and Nancy will miss spending time with him. Dr. O’Leary was a United States Army Korean War Veteran who served in the 25th Division Medical Core, serving with distinction as a Battalion Surgeon and was awarded the Silver Star, the Bronze Star and Two Purple Hearts.
