Lawrence Bruno Ferolie
1940 – 2018
Lawrence Bruno Ferolie, beloved husband, father and brother passed away in the early hours of December 15th, 2018 following a courageous battle with cancer and Parkinson’s disease. He was 78 years old.
Born in Brooklyn, New York to Anthony and Mildred Ferolie, Larry would go on to graduate from Manhattan College before joining the Navy and serving his country with distinction. He would ultimately make his way to California, where he would find his calling as a marketing and organization expert, pioneering strategies for the Bay Area Rapid Transit system and serving with World Cup Soccer and the International Olympic Committee on multiple occasions. He married Ellen Onaga in San Francisco on April 4th 1987, and his son Cameron was born on October 28th, 1988.
Family was the joy of Larry’s life. He is survived by his wife Ellen, son Cameron and sister Christine Aiello of Long Island NY, with numerous nieces and nephews and large extended families on both sides of the United States.
Services will be held on Friday, December 28th at the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 331 E. South Temple, at 1pm. Friends and family may visit Thursday evening from 6-8 pm at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 E. 1300 S., and Friday at the Cathedral one hour prior to services. Larry will be interred in the veteran’s section of the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
