Good Afternoon All,
Peter Sweeney has shared the sad news and asks for our prayers for the repose of the soul of Donna, beloved Daughter of Frank ’64 and Ceil Mennona. Donna was called home, New Year’s Eve, after a long 9 1/2 year struggle with a lethal form of Cancer. Donna fought the good fight with dignity and grace. Her parents were able to spend her last hours with her and have shared the following heartfelt tribute to their Daughter. We remember Donna in our prayers and her parents Frank and Ceil. We pray that during this painful loss of their Daughter, they find comfort in the sure knowledge that their Daughter, Donna is at peace in God’s Eternal Embrace in the Kingdom of Heaven. The loss of a Child is something that we can only imagine the pain and hurt experienced by parents. Please keep this Family in your prayers.
“Our dear daughter, Donna, passed away this morning at about 6am at home. We arrived in KC on Sunday and there was a rapid deterioration in her condition. She conducted a 9 1/2 year struggle against an especially lethal form of cancer with grace and humor. As we like to say “she made
it look easy” although we all knew that it was far from easy.”
Frank, a good Friend and Classmate of Peters’ was also a Classmate at Good Shepherd in Inwood, NYC.
Thank You. God Bless.
Colon, Philip J. (MC1962)
