PRAYERSREQUESTED: Colon, Philip J. (MC1962) prays for Dave

Good Evening All,

Mike McEneney asks for our prayers for Dave Rice, Son-in-Law of Mike’s Friend and Class Mate, Tom Kelleher ’53. Dave has been in our prayers as we pray for him and his Family during his battle with Cancer. Dave’s Wife, Jane (Tom’s Daughter) has shared the following inspiring and loving update. Please raise the volume for this Good Man and his Family as they share this difficult part of their journey. We pray for complete recovery. We pray for the success of the current round of treatments and that the Doctors get the disease under control
and in remission. Thank you. God Bless.

Colon, Philip J. (MC1962)

Jane Rice‎ to Dave’s Brave Fight

With Dave’s most recent scans it seems that his cancer is progressing…. It not only shows the tumors enlarging but also a new development in his left kidney. Hopefully that will be addressed by putting a stent in to help it drain. The cause has yet to be determined. We should know more once that procedure is done. Unfortunately, this means that he will need to begin chemo once again. Ugh, he’s been through so much already. He has been getting away with just a Herceptin infusion every three weeks to keep it at bay. It has taken us about a week to wrap our heads around this to post it. He looks so good and on the most part is feeling well. On a good note, we have been very diligent about spending quality family time and having fun. (Have I told you how wonderful our girls and their significant others are?) We most recently took a family cruise to the Caribbean. Lots of blue water, sunshine, fresh air and great company. We even got to parasail! We always manage to have lots of fun playing as a family!
