2 new employees join The Chazen Companies office

POUGHKEEPSIE – Jeffrey Liebowitz and Michael O’Neill have joined The Chazen Companies’ Hudson Valley office at 21 Fox St.

Liebowitz, E.I.T., joined Chazen as an assistant project engineer. Liebowitz, of
Wappingers Falls, earned his B.S. in environmental engineering from
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and his M.S. in environmental
engineering with a focus on water/wastewater engineering from Manhattan
College. During his time at Manhattan College, he worked as a graduate
research assistant, where he oversaw and conducted analytical tests for a
full-scale food waste anaerobic co-digestion study at New York City’s
largest wastewater treatment plant.

Annual Commencement Exercises Begin on May 15
Manhattan College’s graduating class of 2019 will kick off the annual
Commencement exercises on Wednesday, May 15 when students from the
College’s graduate programs and the School of Continuing and
Professional Studies will receive their degrees. On Friday, May 17,
undergraduate students will walk across the stage and receive their
bachelor’s degrees.

As the class of 2019 goes on to do great things, here is a snapshot of all
the contributions they have been making on campus, in New York City and

Quhshi, Maresca are 2019 Valedictorians 
Donya Quhshi ’19 is the valedictorian of Manhattan College’s class of 2019
and will be the student speaker at Undergraduate Commencement. Ray
Maresca ’18 ’19 (M.S.) is the valedictorian at the College’s Spring

Class of 2019 Landing Jobs in Fields of Their Choice
Students in the class of 2019 have been offered all kinds of opportunities after
graduation. Many also have been accepted into advanced degree programs
at Manhattan College and other prestigious institutions.

One of the five Lasallian pillars is quality education. At Manhattan
College, support programs are in place to make education as accessible
to as many people as possible, including military veterans, parents and
other students from varied backgrounds.

Jaspers Baseball Tied for First Place in the MAAC
Through May 15, Manhattan College’s baseball team owns a 15-6 record and is
tied for first place atop the MAAC standings. The Jaspers have already
clinched a spot in the MAAC Tournament, which will take place May 22-25
at Richmond County Bank Ballpark on Staten Island.
