Saluting the Class of 2019

Manhattan College celebrated its annual Commencement exercises in May, honoring 200 students from the College’s graduate programs and the School of Continuing and Professional Studies and nearly 900 undergraduate students who received their bachelor’s degrees.


Forbes Names Manhattan a Best Value College

Manhattan College has been consistently recognized as a top school in return on investment with a strong rate of job placements and postgraduate opportunities. This is the fourth consecutive year that Forbes has included Manhattan on its list of Best Value Colleges.


Faculty Bringing Financial Literacy to the Bronx

Amira Annabi, Ph.D., assistant professor of finance, and Aileen Lowry Farrelly ’95, assistant dean and accounting faculty at Manhattan College’s O’Malley School of Business, received a grant to create a Center for Financial Literacy on campus that benefits Manhattan students and the wider Bronx community.


Six Seniors Take Postgrad Service Positions

Six Manhattan College seniors will continue the Lasallian mission of service to others after graduating in May. Three will serve as Lasallian Volunteers and others will join the Christian Appalachian Project, Jesuit Volunteer Corps and Loretto Volunteers.


#300LaSalle: Lasallian Women and Gender Resource Center

Two of the five Lasallian pillars are respect for all people and inclusive community. The Lasallian Women and Gender Resource Center launched in the fall of 2018 with a commitment to offering resources, in support of those two pillars, for students having experiences related to gender and sexuality.


John Cain ’19 (M.S.) Signs Pro Baseball Contract

John Cain ’19 (M.S.) became the sixth Jasper in the last four years to ink a contract with a Major League Baseball team, when he signed a free agent contract with the Los Angeles Angels at their spring training facility.


Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2019

Seven individuals have been elected to the Manhattan College Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2019, and one team has been selected for special recognition. The 41st annual induction ceremony and dinner will take place on Saturday, November 9.
