John F. Kane

John was born on June 22, 1942 and passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2019.

John was a resident of Walton, New York at the time of passing.

He graduated from Chaminade High School in 1959 and earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Manhattan College in 1963.

Jack then joined the United States Navy in 1964 and led a unit of the Seabees, serving three tours in Vietnam.

He served with the Federal Emergency Management Association in the wake of a number of natural disasters, including hurricanes in Texas and floods in Nebraska. Calling hours to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will take place on Friday, July 5, 2019 from 6-8 P.M. at Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 6 at 10 A.M. at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 25 Benton Street, Walton with the Rev. Edward J. Golding officiating. Burial will full military honors will follow at Walton Cemetery.
