Faculty Member Earns Ford Postdoctoral Fellowship

Cristina Pérez Jiménez, Ph.D., an assistant professor of English at Manhattan College, is one of 24 professors across the United States to be awarded a 2019-2020 Ford Postdoctoral Fellowship, a national fellowship administered by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine on behalf of the Ford Foundation.

NSF Grant to Enhance Chemical Engineering Research

Aravind Suresh, Ph.D., an assistant professor of chemical engineering, has received a three-year Major Research Instrumentation Program grant from the National Science Foundation. The grant will support Suresh’s proposal to build a chemical vapor deposition instrument with novel capabilities for producing polymer thin films.

Cain, Gordon to be Featured at Basketball Hall of Fame Exhibit

The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced Manhattan College basketball legends Tim Cain ’85 and Sandy Gordon ’87 will be inducted into the 2019 MAAC Honor Roll. The honorees will be enshrined in “The MAAC Experience” exhibit at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame on Saturday, September 14.

Team Draddy Has Chance at TBT Title, $2 Million

The Basketball Tournament (TBT) – the summer basketball event broadcast live on ESPN networks with a $2 million prize to the winners – includes Team Draddy, a team of Manhattan College alumni. Team Draddy will open the tournament on Friday, July 26 at 3 p.m.
