Two engineers from D&B Engineers and Architects, P.C. a leading Long Island-based engineering firm, were recently recognized with awards by the American Water Works Association New York Chapter (NYSAWWA) at the annual New York’s Water event in Saratoga Springs, New York.

Christopher C. Melillo, M.E., Water Supply Engineer, was awarded the ‘Young Professional of the Year’ award. The award recognizes “the finest young water professionals who demonstrate excellence, creativity and initiative in their profession, provide valuable service by contributing time and energy to the NYSAWWA and the watercommunity, and who serve as a role models for young water professionals”. Mr. Melillo is a Manhattan College graduate who joined D&B Water Supply Division in 2015 and has a specialty in potable water supply design.

“It is an honor to be nominated for NYSAWWA ‘Young Professional of the Year’ by my peers and to win this award. I share this recognition with our entire team as winning this is a direct representation of the D&B Water Supply Division’s hard work and passion for the industry. This certainly keeps me motivated to improve my knowledge, expertise and find solutions for our clients’ challenges,” said Mr. Melillo, a Queens, NY resident.

Dear John,

I do not find anything in my ‘stuff’ for Christopher, but, based on the article I would suspect either the Class of 2014 or 2015.

[JR: Thanks, Mike. Much appreciated.]
