PRAYERSREQUESTED: Colon, Philip J. (MC1962) prays for three

Good Evening All,

Bob Mattis asks for our continued prayers for his dear friend Sue. Sue continues to receive treatment with mixed results. Sue feels that our prayers are very positive in her progress and has incredible Faith and Hope. Please raise the volume for Sue.
Today at Mass, Bob sat close to a URI Student who was very sad and was crying. Bob is praying for her and asks that pray for her as well as we pray that God’s ever present Love heals her hurt and shows her a clearer path.
We pray and give thanks for  those special gifts from God, the children in our lives, the joy they bring us and the unconditional love they share. Little Eloise along with her Brother, Turner, will be visiting Bob and Noreen and that is a special treat.
Thank you. God Bless.

PRAYERSREQUESTED: Colon, Philip J. (MC1962) prays for three

Good Afternoon All,

I have a couple of Prayer Requests to share with you.
While in Norfolk, Virginia I met a young woman (24 years old) whose whole life was turned upside down when she was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. I met her as she was being informed that her job was being eliminated. A Faith filled person, Kelly said to me, “I am O’K with losing my job, I am recovering from Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma so I have been through a lot worse than losing my job, and God will not abandon me. This she shared after I told her I would place her on our prayer list. Kelly is currently waiting on her final test results to see if she is clear of her illness. She looked great, her spirit is greater and stronger than anyone can imagine and she welcomed her being part of our prayer group. We pray that she receives good news and that God continues to give her the strength to deal with her adversity. We pray for her Parents who have been so supportive.
Someone else that I met, Maria, who has just undergone a Knee replacement and was anxious about her recovery because she too had been told she was losing her job. We pray for her swift recovery free of complication.
I ask too for your prayers for Ellen, an old Friend of mine and wife of another of my oldest friends (high school classmate). Ellen has been struggling with a debilitating illness that the MDs have not wanted to operate because of her weakened condition, her breastplate is pressing upon her heart. I was told today that two weeks ago Ellen had a fall and broke her hip. She is recovering from a partial hip replacement. She is feeling frustrated but is recovering slowly.
Don, her husband was on our prayer list last May as he underwent open heart surgery. He is doing well. Please keep Ellen in your prayers.
Our Son Scott thanks you for your prayers. He still has intense pain from time to time as he does his Physical Therapy but he too is healing well.
Thank you all. God Bless.

PRAYERSREQUESTED: Colon, Philip J. (MC1962) prays for Hal Moore

Fw: Death of an American Hero and a Catholic one at that. Beau lives up the street from where he lived. His Wife, the UNSUNG HEOINE

Good Afternoon All,

Ed Riely shared the information above about a true hero being called home. The Beau that Ed refers to is Ed’s Son, Himself an Active Duty LTC, United States Army, who has been in our prayers in the past and is doing well. Lt.General Retired, Hal Moore, is best known as Commander, 1st Battalion, 7th Cavalry Regiment at the Battle of LaDrang, Vietnam. The movie, ” We Were Soldiers ” was about LTC Moore and his men, a riveting story. He was called home on February 10, 2017.

A couple of quotes from Lt.General Moore talk to the man he was’

” There is no such thing as closure for Soldiers who have survived a War. They have an Obligation, a Sacred Duty to remember those who fell in Battle beside them all their days and to bear witness to the Insanity that is War.” Hal Moore

Another that he borrowed from Plato, “Only the Dead have seen the end of War.” Hal Moore.

We pray for Lt.General Hal Moore, his Family and Friends and the many he touched in his life and those he has been reunited with in God’s Eternal Embrace.

Thank you Ed. God Bless.
