PRAYERSREQUESTED: Colon, Philip J. (MC1962) prays for three

Good Afternoon All,

We have some prayer requests.

We pray for the repose of the soul of Gerry Kemp, an old friend of Mike McEneney. Gerry passed away this past Sunday. We pray for Gerry and his Family as the Family mourn the loss of their loved one.

We pray for Kerry who has been diagnosed with Lung Cancer and will have to have part of her Lung removed. We pray that all goes well and that the Cancer is completely removed with no complications.

We pray for Amanda who is experiencing a difficult pregnancy. We pray that the MDs stabilize Amanda and that she will be able to carry to term.

Thank you Mike for sharing these requests with us. Thank you all. God Bless.

PRAYERSREQUESTED: Colon, Philip J. (MC1962) prays for my friend Pete

Good afternoon All,
John has shared an update on his Friend Pete. Pete has been sent home from hospital with a ” no trouble found ” diagnosis with instructions to follow up with the GI MDs once again. This is very frustrating for Pete. Please keep Pete in your prayers as we pray the MDs find what ails him and are able to resolve the problem. In and out of hospital without resolution is indeed very frustrating. Thank you. God Bless.

Houlihan, Kathrene B.

HOULIHAN – Kathrene “Kate” (nee Blish) of Chicago, IL; New Rochelle, Crestwood, and Bronxville, NY died July 2 at home surrounded by family. She was 96. She and Dan, her husband of 53 years raised nine children in love and faith: Kathie (Jim), Rita, Dorothy (Marcel), Daniel (Marie), Joe (Anna), Mark (Amy), Barbara (Bill), Gerry (Maureen) and Elizabeth (Ralph).

A graduate of Maplehurst Convent of the Sacred Heart (1937) and Manhattanville College (1941) her faith, intellectual curiosity and love of beauty sparked many interests – American History, Church History, art, architecture, ballet, opera, embroidery, travel, baseball, the US Open and French cooking! Her legendary dinner parties were a key ingredient of Dan’s and his partners’ (James G. Houlihan and Howard Parnes) business, Houlihan-Parnes Realtors. An enthusiastic, late-in life golfer, Kate enjoyed many “9 holes” with Siwanoy friends.

Long time parishioners of Annunciation (1949-1999, Crestwood, NY), Kate and Dan were generous supporters of Catholic education – Manhattan College, Iona College and Prep, College of New Rochelle, De La Salle Academy, Academy of Mount Saint Ursula, Cornelia Connelly Center, Convent of the Sacred Heart Greenwich, Annunciation School, and The Ursuline School and in addition, Covenant House and Graymoor. Kate joined St. Joseph’s parish in 1999. She served on the board of the Convent of the Sacred Heart, Greenwich and was the school’s 1992 Outstanding Alumna.

She is survived by 19 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, her brother-in-law, Joe and his wonderful wife June (Northbrook, IL), five cousins, her longtime nurse and friend Grace Sendras, plus many dear friends. She kept us all connected through visits, letters, calls and email. Kate was predeceased by her husband, her brother (Syl) and sisters (Sally, Marie, Betsy) and sisters-in-law (Rita Anne, Janet). A woman of deep faith, Kate encouraged her family to cultivate interests, to “always do something worthwhile” and “to be good to everybody.”

Wake will be held at McGrath’s, Bronxville, July 5, 6-9; July 6, 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral Mass at St. Joseph’s, July 7, 9:45 AM. In lieu of flowers please contribute to Annunciation School, Crestwood, NY or The Pregnancy Care Center, New Rochelle, NY. OR (

PRAYERSREQUESTED: Campbell, Katie [MC????] request prayers for boyfriend

Katie Campbell 4 hrs ·

Hey, so… I don’t even know where to begin as I try to write this. I stopped using Facebook for the most part because my life is a complete mess, but right now I can use all the prayers and support you guys can give…

My boyfriend, the love of my life, my partner in crime, biggest supporter and my best friend is in the ICU at st joes in a coma. He’s on a ventilator because he’s not getting enough oxygen breathing on his own. He has a terrible infection that could go to his heart and pneumonia as his left lung is completely filled with fluid.

I found him overdosed on our bed last night. He was unconscious and gray, not breathing, flat on his back covered in his own vomit. I started CPR and waited for the paramedics. After half an hour and two rounds of narcan they still couldn’t revive him.

We can use all the prayers that you guys can give. please please, PLEASE just pray for him. Pray for us, pray that he survives this so we can fix our lives and repair all the damage we’ve caused along the way. It’s so embarrassing and humbling to even write this, but we need all the love, prayers and help we can get right now.

Thank you.

Good Evening All,

We received this cry through Jasper Jottings off Facebook shared by Fellow Jasper Katie C. The following was what Katie posted. It is a plea for help through prayer from this hurting soul. As always, we need to heed it, raise our voices and ask for God’s mercy to shine upon this couple who lost their way and need to be led back through the strength of prayer. Please raise the volume.
