Sandgate, VT – On Nov. 21, 2018 in Sandgate, Vermont, at age 78. Julie was born and raised in Chester, PA.

She was the beloved wife of 45 years of Thomas Michaels, sister of Nancy Borkowski, Msgr. John Jagodzinski, James Jagodzinski, Mary Sims, sister-in-law Ruth Ingandela, and aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Following her graduation from Notre Dame HS, Moylan, Julie lived 14 years as a member of the Sisters of St. Felix of Cantalice, Felicians, during which time she taught in elementary and high schools, earning a B.A. from Seton Hall University and a masters degree from Manhattan College. She spent 30 years at St. John Vianney HS, Holmdel NJ as a Social Studies teacher, Department Chairperson, Vice Principal and Director of Student Activities.

A Memorial Mass will be offered in celebration of Julie’s life on Saturday, March 23, 12 noon, at St. Katherine of Siena Church, Wayne, PA. Relatives and friends may call after 11AM. Memorial offerings in Julie’s name can be made to VNA Hospice, 7 Albert Cree Dr., Rutland, VT

1933 – 2019 

CARMODY – Daniel Joseph, 85, of Point Lookout, NY passed away peacefully on January 16th.

Born 1933 in The Bronx the oldest of 4 brothers. Graduated from Cardinal Hayes and attended Fordham University, served in the Army in Germany and he completed his degree at Manhattan College. As an Electrical Engineer, he worked in sales and consulting with companies in the tri-state area.

Dan met the love of his life Jean in London in 1956. They settled in Pt. Lookout, NY and raised two sons, Jon and Chip. Dan loved walking on the beach with Jean, golfing, travel and engaging in their community.

He is survived by his wife, Jean; Chip and wife Patty, Jon (predeceased) and wife Connie, and grandchildren. A private memorial service with family has been planned.

 1952 – 2018 

George Richard Hanna, of Stamford, died on Sunday August 26, 2018 at Cassena Care in Stamford.

He was born in Danbury on July 25, 1952 to Kenneth and Christine (Leonard) Hanna. He was a graduate of Immaculate High School and Manhattan College.

He began his employment career with the Social Security Administration, moving on to a partnership in a limousine service, and then became a real estate researcher and recorder, until health issues put him into early retirement.

He is survived by three brothers, Charles and his wife Maureen, and John, both of Stamford, and Robert and his wife Dale of New Milford, and one sister Emily Hayes and her husband Richard of New Jersey, and several nieces and nephews,grand nephews and grand nieces. He was predeceased by two brothers, Thomas and William, and two nephews Jay and Timothy.

Services will beheld at Our Lady Star of the Sea, 1200 Shippan Ave. Stamford, Ct. 06902 on Wednesday September 5, at 11:00 a.m. Donations in George’s name may be made to: Our Lady of Grace Preschool, 635 Glenbrook Rd.
