Marypat Mulholland is head of Institutional Equity Sales for Wells Fargo Securities’ Midwest region. With 25 years of experience, she directs all aspects of the client relationship for the accounts and is specifically responsible for building, aligning, and growing Wells Fargo’s client relationships. She is a member of the Diversity & Inclusion Council and is also the founder of the Windy City Women’s Networking Group. Prior to joining Wells Fargo predecessor Wachovia in 2006, Marypat was the Midwest regional sales manager for Prudential Securities as well as Midwest regional sales manager for CIBC prior to that. Marypat received her B.A. from Manhattan College and her M.B.A. from Boston College. She is a native of New York but calls Chicago her home. Marypat and her husband Rob have three children. She is a first-degree black belt and a level-one certified instructor in Taekwondo.

SOLON, Ohio, Feb. 25, 2019 /PRNewswire/ — HDT Global (HDT), a leading provider of highly engineered solutions for extreme environments across military, public and private sectors, announced today the appointment of Vincent Buffa as the new President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Buffa brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership experience in US and international manufacturing of electrical and mechanical components, systems and finished goods for Aerospace, Defense, Commercial and Industrial markets. He replaces Frederick Strader, a current member of the HDT Board of Directors, who had served in the role on an interim basis.

Mr. Buffa is an accomplished executive with 33 years of related leadership experience. Before joining HDT, he was President and CEO of Data Device Corporation (DDC), a $250M electronics manufacturer of high-reliability data business, motion control and solid-state power controller products for aerospace, defense, commercial and industrial automation applications. During his seven-year tenure at DDC, Mr. Buffa successfully developed and executed a comprehensive organic growth strategy that included new technology development, quality system implementation to improve operational efficiencies, and sales and operational planning improvements.

Mr. Buffa also served as the President of Crane Energy Flow Solutions, a $400M global provider of specialty and custom valve products serving industrial, power, oil and gas markets, managing operations in Beijing, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Belgium and Canada.

Prior to his tenure at Crane, Mr. Buffa served as the President of Rexnord Industries Aerospace Group, a provider of highly specialized bearing, machined component and mechanical seal operations supplying large transport, regional, business and military aircraft OEMs, engine builders, gearbox suppliers and industrial customers. During his career, he also held leadership positions at Honeywell International, AlliedSignal and Harris Corporation. Mr. Buffa holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Manhattan College and an MBA from Hofstra University.

OAK BROOK, ILL. — Jean Spence, an independent consultant who recently served as executive vice-president of research, development and quality at Mondelez International, has been appointed an independent director on TreeHouse Foods, Inc.’s board of directors. Ms. Spence’s appointment brings the total number of board members to 10.

“We are pleased to welcome Jean, as she will bring fresh insights and new perspectives, as well as demonstrated and relevant experience to the TreeHouse Foods board,” said Gary D. Smith, chairman of the board. “We are confident that her contributions will be valuable as the company continues to transform its business through the TreeHouse 2020 restructuring program and to refine its strategy to deliver long-term shareholder value.”

Prior to the 2012 spin-off transaction to form Mondelez, Ms. Spence was senior vice-president of worldwide quality, scientific affairs and compliance at Kraft Foods Inc., where she was responsible for improving quality and food safety on a worldwide basis, coordinating global compliance programs, scientific relations, regulatory relations, microbiology, and auditing. Before joining Kraft, she was a process supervisor for Procter and Gamble.

She has represented the food industry on the Department of Homeland Security Advisory Council and Kraft on the International Life Sciences Institute and Junior Achievement of Chicago boards. Ms. Spence serves on the supervisory board of GEA Group AG and is chair of the Clarkson University Board of Trustees.

Ms. Spence received a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Clarkson University and a master’s degree in chemical engineering from Manhattan College.

Obituary

Josephine A. Rappe 85, of Ossining, N.Y. died on April 30, 2018. She was born on March 14, 1933 to the late Michael and Catherine (nee Ginty) Davey in County Sligo, Ireland. Josephine was a retired Guidance Counselor with the NYC Schools.

She was predeceased by her devoted husband, Thomas D. Rappe in 2004 and also predeceased by three sisters, Mary, Kathleen and Betty. Josephine is survived by her loving children, Thomas (Janet) Rappe of Boynton Beach, FL., Michael (Margaret) Rappe of Edgemont, N.Y., Joseph Rappe of Greenwich, CT. and Mary Leddy of Stony Point, N.Y. one brother, Dennis Davey and four sisters, Margaret, Sarahann, Helen and Maura. Also survived by her seven cherished grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Mark, Morgan, Jennifer, Kevin and Alexander.

Stanley G. Puszcz, of Sparta, a founding member and managing partner of Sparta-based CP Professional Services, has become board-certified in environmental engineering by the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists.

He has over 30 years of experience of providing professional engineering and applied science services to a diversified group of clients from municipalities and state agencies to life science and manufacturing industries. He has managed or directed projects in municipal engineering, environmental remediation, land use analysis and engineering design.

Previously, Puszcz was a vice president, director and shareholder of a mid-sized architecture and engineering firm where he was responsible for the growth, diversification and sustainability of the firm’s practice and he was responsible for that firm’s corporate strategic plan.

Puszcz holds a bachelor of engineering degree in chemical engineering from Manhattan College, with additional engineering graduate studies from the Polytechnic Institute of Technology. He completed the Princeton course “Groundwater Pollution and Hydrology” and was recognized by the Association of Groundwater Scientists and Engineers as a certified groundwater professional. He has been licensed as a professional engineer in several states including New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. He is a certified municipal engineer and he has been board certified as an environmental engineer.

He was the chairman of the Sparta Township Environmental Commission, vice chairman of the Sparta Township Planning Board, a member of the Sussex County Water Quality Management Policy Advisory Committee, and the Sussex County Open Space Committee.
