CNY Appoints Michael Geary as Director of MEP Technical Services Group

CNY, one of New York City’s leading construction management firms, today announced the appointment of Michael Geary as Director of CNY’s Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Technical Services Group.

In his new role, Mr. Geary will be responsible for managing CNY’s Technical Services MEP professionals, who oversee all aspects of the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including alternative construction engineering studies and procurement.

“We are pleased to have Michael join CNY as Director of our MEP Technical Services Group,” said CNY President Ken Colao. “CNY is known for taking on some of the most complex and challenging projects in New York, and Michael’s nearly two decades of experience in the engineering, design, and construction industry handling large-scale jobs makes him a valued addition to our team.”

Prior to joining CNY, Mr. Geary held various positions at construction management firms, including Director of MEP, Project Executive and Senior Project Manager, as well as Principal at a distinguished engineering firm. He has worked on large projects in the residential, hospitality, commercial and gaming sectors throughout New York City, such as Admiral’s Row at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, Resorts World Casino, Brooklyn’s Edge Buildings, and the Moxy Downtown hotel.

Mr. Geary received his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and French from Manhattan College. He is a licensed NYS Professional Engineer and is OSHA 10 Certified.

Attorney Jennifer Frankola Introduces Mentor at Annual Manhattan College Mentor Dinner

Earlier this month, Associate Jennifer Frankola had the honor of introducing one of her favorite mentors and fellow Jasper, the Honorable Ronald L. Ellis, United States Magistrate Judge for the Southern District of New York at the annual Manhattan College Mentor Dinner. Jennifer interned for Judge Ellis in 2006 and shared her stories about her experiences working under Judge Ellis in her introduction to his Keynote. Jennifer sits on the Manhattan College Advisory Board for the mentorship program which recruits companies to mentor over 200 students each year. This year’s event was the largest in years.
